The Specials module is for ongoing specials that do not require “proof” of the offer such as a coupon such as Happy Hour, Senior/Military Discounts, Taco Tuesdays, or any other ongoing offers. This module can also be used for special announcements such as a new location grand opening or to promote an upcoming event.
To Get Started:
- Go to the CMS (content.totalloyalty.com)
- Login using your unique credentials.
- Click Specials in the left-hand navigation menu.
The first thing you will see is any existing Sets. Specials themselves cannot be added without a Specials Set. A Set is what will contain the individual specials. Most businesses will only need and use one but, some multi-location businesses, may need one for each location if all specials don’t apply to all locations at the same time.
To Create a New Specials Set:
- Click Add New in the top right corner in the blue bar.
- Name your Set.
- The name of your Set will not be seen by your App users.
- Click Create.
Note: Specials Sets can be reordered by simply clicking and dragging to the desired order and clicking Save Sort Order, when done.
Once your Specials Set is created, it is time to add your Specials Section and individual Specials.
To Create a Specials Section:
- Click on the Set you wish to work on, to open it.
- Click Add Section in the top right corner in the blue bar.
- Name your Section, or you may leave empty.
- Notes: If Section Name is left empty, you will get an error message but you can ignore. You do not need to provide a description or notes.
- Click Save or Save & Add Another if you need to add more.
- Click Save Specials in the top right corner in the blue bar.
Note: Sections can be reordered by clicking Sort Sections in the top right corner in the blue bar, clicking and dragging, then clicking Done.
To Add Individual Specials:
- Click Add Special in the top right corner in the blue bar.
- Select the Section the Special should be assigned to.
- Name your Special (Ex. Taco Tuesday).
- Provide a description by including applicable details about your special such as day/time it is available, what the customer may need in order to partake (such as an ID), cost, etc.
- Price and Calorie fields may remain empty.
- Add your image.
- Image should be an exact square in order to avoid image distortion, and 400px by 400px is an ideal size for a clear picture without bogging down the App.
- You will also have the opportunity to add an image after you save your Special.
- Click Save or Save & Add Another if you need to add more.
- Click Save Specials in the top right corner in the blue bar.
Note: Individual Specials can be reordered by clicking and dragging within the section. To reassign a special to another section or to edit any of it’s other content, click the Edit icon to the right right of the special in question, edit the details, and click Save.
To Add or Change an Existing Special’s Image:
- Click on the existing image or the empty gray image icon of the image you wish to update.
- Upload your new image OR select from your existing uploaded image files.
- Click Save Specials in the top right corner in the blue bar.
Note: All specials should always have an image.
Assign the Specials Set to a Location:
- Click Assign Locations in the top right corner in the blue bar.
- Check the boxes next to the applicable locations.
- Click Save.
- Click Save Specials in the top right corner in the blue bar.
When you are all finished editing and saving your Specials, be sure to publish the changes so your customers will see the updates as well.
